To provide the core functionality of adding a GPS stamp, we request access to your device's location via the browser's Geolocation API.
- Local-Only Processing: All image processing (merging the map, coordinates, and timestamp with your photo) occurs entirely within your browser’s memory using JavaScript.
- No Metadata Collection: Unlike traditional apps, we do not log or store the coordinates, addresses, or site names you use. Once the image is exported, that data is discarded.
- Server Blindness: Your photos and their associated GPS metadata are never uploaded to, stored on, or accessible by our servers.
Server Log Files
Like most websites, GPS Map Camera Online uses standard server log files. These files log general visitor traffic when you access our site. This is separate from your photo data, which never reaches our server. The information collected includes:
- Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
- Browser type and version
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Date and time stamps of site visits
